Sometimes it’s fun to use this type of older survival gear because you don’t mind it getting dirty and beat up. That lets you relax and enjoy you trip without having to worry about the little nicks and tears you may acquire while building camp.
Taro builds a Tipi out of two east German Army tarps, he then gets comfortable with a insulation sleep mat made by the German Army and a wool blanket of the Swiss army.
